Im sure too many urban refugees during tourist season cannot adjust their driving styles to fit rural areas like yours. I can, and gladly switch when in country as I much prefer those driving and life styles.
I cant wait to get out of NYC!
In business, Ive talked to multiple people in every state, many countries.
The ones who rub me the wrong way are always from New Jersey.
However, if you get in their face, all of a sudden youre family.
Minnesotaians are just weird.
I happened to be in NYC recently, and when I pulled my phone out of my pocket a crumpled dollar fell to the ground. A nice woman chased me across the street and through the crowd to give it back to me (yep, it was actually mine).
One of the things I’ve noticed about NYC, when communicating with natives, is that they drop the pre-ambles in conversation. They tend to walk up and start right in. When you talk to a lot of people in a day, I can see how meaningless platitudes would both get tiring, and be seen as a waste of time.
At first it seems rude to skip the greetings - but during a long work-day with a lot of brief encounters, it seems rude not to, at least for people you already know.
I have been wearing my MAGA hat for 3 years and have never had anyone say anything but “nice hat where can I get one”.
Wow, I didn’t know that. I do know for all the talk of racism, latinos really hate white people - the way they throw around the non flattering term gringo.
My girlfriend in college lived there. It was pretty much the Departed in 1981. Fun times if you knew when to keep your mouth shut. I was in a military college at the time. I was in great shape, short hair, and I could go crazy in a second. I also knew when to keep my mouth shut.
Fun times. I guess they still live like that. I am too old for that crap now.
What are her eyes looking at?
How exactly does the opinion of inhabitants of OTHER citys/areas actually serve as a sufficient measurement of this?
Rudeness of only Words ignores Rudenes of Thought and Rudeness of Deed.
Consider how messed up leftist enclaves are where un-american rudeness is institutionalized in their whole operation/existence -— where true free speech is shutdown and only liars pablum is spewed.
.
Maybe if everyone wore name tags!!
We used to confuse the locals by calling ourselves, Gringo.
The were really confused, which was fairly common.
