A pro-LGBT stunt at a Missouri high school backfired recently when students responded by hoisting the rebel flag.
A student at West Plains High School first handed out small pro-LGBT rainbow flags on Dec. 9, according to KY3.
It didn't take long for other students to rebel.
The next day, a group of rebellious students raised a Confederate flag in the school's lunchroom, the outlet reported.
Schilmoeller said she distributed nearly 60 of the pro-LGBT flags.
"It's like they were mocking us," another upset student, Taylor Pool, told KY3, "but not only was it that they were mocking us, they also brought in a completely different subject because people were offended by the type of flag they had."

Good thing those kids didn’t burn the gay flags; they’d be in prison for 16 years.
Yeah, I did see that. But, burn a stars and stripes and you get a contract with nike or something. WTH? Merry Christmas!
If I wasn’t afraid of having my car firebombed here in Massachusetts I’d have a great big Confederate flag decal in one of the windows. I’d do it not because I believe in the Confederacy but because it would pi$$ off the Maoists around here like you wouldn’t believe.
There may be pockets of hope after all with the upcoming youth.
West Plains is so far down in the Ozarks you have to pump sunshine in. I guess the queers got noticed.
On occasion, being noticed isn’t necessarily a good thing.

Nice that people are fighting back instead of being cowed by the lib bullies.
I have one on my license plate, the official license plate-it’s an option because it’s incorporated into my state’s flag :D
“It’s like they were mocking us.” No, it’s not “like” that, it is exactly what they were doing. In fact, it is what the rest of us normal, well adjusted people do every day. People who fall all over themselves promoting various liberal agendas are just hilarious to the rest of us.
Gives me hope for the future.
The Confederates (and the Yankees) both read the King James and prayed to God Almighty. Nor did the Bible condemn slavery.The Bible does set rules on how slaves were to be treated which all too often were violently abused. Nor am I saying slavery is desirable. Neither slavery to another person or a government.
The Bible does condemn homosexuality in the strongest terms.
I applaud the spirit of the “rebellious” students.
And surprisingly, living in the state with the highest proportion of blacks to whites, no one has ever keyed or otherwise messed with my car. Maybe not so surprising-we’re all pretty laid back about those things in my state when outside agitators aren’t coming in to stir sh*t up.
It’s strange that they would hand out the LGBTQ flag on December 9, the height of the Christmas season - “Pride” month is in June. It sounds like a calculated middle-finger to Christians.
Until real Americans make the enemies of God and country as fearful in places like West Plains as normal people do in San Francisco, we could well lose our freedoms.
Did any of the students excercise freedom of expression and take a dump on the queer rag? or, set it on fire?
