Honestly? You can’t actually win. You may shut them down temporarily in discussion, but it is permanently deep rooted and they will stand fast to the self destructive end because they never will figure it out. They have been very well programmed to never think for themselves at all, ever...

You can’t convince them and they won’t convince you. A giant waste of energy. Just decline talking about it. If they spout off, just smile and don’t reply; like punching a floating handkerchief. They get no satisfaction.

I had several members of my family that thought abortion was an undeniable right for women.
To address the issue, I said, “You know, no matter how you come down on it, I think there’s one thing we can agree on. There are currently over one million living humans killed per year, via abortion. I think we can all agree getting that number lower is a good idea.
Silence.
The one thing they can’t argue with, is the numbers. Nobody, I don’t care how brain dead they are, thinks over a million killed preborn infants is a number that needs to do anything but get smaller.
Having said that, I think that’s the model for how to talk to Libs on issues.
Find that one thing nobody can disagree about, and toss it out there.
