The reason that many service members don’t like the Gallagher pardon is that they survived combat tours without murdering any prisoners and this clown gets a pardon while they get nothing for following the rules. It is a great insult to warriors.
New seals coming up are becoming PC SNOWFLAKES it is very worrisome this country depends on these men and women to do covert acts of courage that most of us could NEVER imagine!! Planting SNOWFLAKES on these teams is extremely worrisome to me!!!
Not exactly worthless since it was what the military jury used to acquit Gallagher of the charge his shipmates testified he was guilty of.
I suspect those going thru seal training would beg to differ with you. I haven’t heard or read where seal training is any less difficult than before.
If you mean they are snowflakes because they don’t like people murdering prisoners then you simply have no experience with the vast majority of soldiers.

He was granted immunity. Duh. That means he can’t be prosecuted for anything he said on the stand. Do you really think he would have confessed to killing the guy if he could have been prosecuted?
He didn’t get pardoned for murdering a terrorist, asshole. He was found not guilty for that after the prosecution engaged in criminal behavior the railroad him for it.
He was pardoned for posing with a dead baddy. Whoopy doo. And no, servicemen aren’t butthurt over the photos. If you try to claim that, you’re a liar.
On the local 8pm news, they even had video of the "brutal" military attacking the poor innocent child.
(They may claim trying to make President Trump look bad, but what they really did was degrade the entire U.S. militarily.)
The NYT must have been overjoyed to be able to portray our service members as horrible monsters, (They have a long history of doing this).
They picked the perfect media outlet to carry out this slander of the armed forces.

The medic most likely was given immunity for any illegal actions he admitted to before he took the stand. When on the stand he takes an oath to tell the truth. He does not get immunity for committing perjury while testifying under oath. I am pretty sure lying while under oath when giving testimony during the trial was part of the immunity deal.
I don’t. I know the story and background of Gallagher and had they rail-roaded him and the charges. My son is a Marine so this hits home to me with unfounded charges against one of our Seals.
No one will ever convince that Obama admin had Kris Kyle murdered as pay back for killing Muslims. I believe it was a PsyOps operation.
Others in the team also posed with a dead body but they were never charged, only Gallagher was charged. I suspect they threatened the seven who also posed in that same picture with dead body so they cooperated and turned on Eddie.
WW2, when German snipers were shooting our soldiers, our guys lined up their captured soldiers and shot three at a time for everyone the German sniper killed.
The Islamic terrorists wear no uniforms and therefore are not under the same rules as soldiers/prisoners in war. They are terrorists not SOLDIERS.
Gallagher was confined to solitary confinement unlike other soldiers. They bugged his attorneys email, which was illegal.The lawyers put him in solitary confinement for no reason and he couldn’t properly fight his case.

It is the crux of the case against him. He allegedly stabbed the probably fatally wounded Tali to prevent revealing their position to a significant enemy force. ( I say there is great evidence that they intended to save the guy, but the tactical situation deteriorated to the point that the guy was a greater threat than reasonable). The Medic then copped to suffocating the guy by thumbing the breathing tube, but Gallagher did apparently stab or cut the guy too.
Not sure if the medic is the same in both comments, probably not I would say.

You are likely right about the medic for sure. Somehow I don’t see him treating many patients in his future. I’m sure the navy will be dealing with a medic that claims to have murdered his patient.
