The clash in Virginia over gun control has reached a new level, with proponents of a gun “sanctuary” movement urging active resistance to Democratic proposals in Richmond, citing the arguments that led to the American Revolution.......The sanctuary leaders called the potential Virginia gun control laws 'a violation of the Second Amendment'... and cited Revolutionary War-era heroes who fought oppressive control.
The movement plans to expand its local and county fight to the capital in Richmond in January when the legislature plans to take up gun control measures..... The groups have made plans to drive dozens of full buses to the capital on Jan. 20 for a lobbying day.
“Resistance to illegal and unauthorized government acts is not new,” said two leaders of the movement in noting the decisions by the Founding Fathers to sign the Declaration of Independence that challenged Great Britain and King George III.
“This doctrine is, in fact, foundational to our form of government. Indeed, the Declaration of Independence is a document of interposition, between the American colonists and a tyrannical King George III. Its signatories — the people’s representatives — pledged to one another ‘our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor,’ believing that they most likely would be tried and executed for treason against the crown,” said the new memo from the Virginia Citizens Defense League and the Virginia-based Gun Owners of America Inc.
Their 12-page memo was both in defense of the state gun sanctuary movement that has been adopted by 114 counties and communities and a challenge to the opinion of Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring that the sanctuaries have “no legal effect.”

Don’t give these guys info about how you plan to organize. This governor is already a out-right murder advocate, what’s to say he can’t cause traffic jams, block roads, line the streets with spike strips, or have one of his rogue black SUV’s flip over a few buses?

So I wonder why a so called conservative judge doesn’t declare the government’s law to be unconstitutional and stop it like liberal judges do for almost every thing Pres. Trump enacts.

They slung this sh*t up against the wall. They see the resistance. They have an idea of what they’re up against. Now they can plan accordingly.
Now all they have to do is start spreading their Leftist principles and ideology further into Virginia. Watch for Sheriff’s to have someone run against them. Watch for some refugee resettlement and for some ‘asylum seekers’ to be planted in towns and counties. They boldly report that the reason NoVa is the way it is, politically, is because of massive waves of immigration. They’ve learned how to flip a district. They will start doing that elsewhere in the state.

It has been suggested that Northam will call out the National Guard to enforce the proposed new gun laws. As long as Trump is in office he can simply Nationalize the Guard and control it from his office. That would make any enforcement by Virginia authorities very difficult.
Just curious...how many of these gun folks failed to vote in the last election?

This is a preemptive petition of our representatives not to try to take our rights.
If they do pass these laws, an honest judge upholding both the Virginia Constitution and the US Constitution would strike them down.
I’m not sure we can find one of those.
Judges tend to side with who pays them.
