If this all leads to a coup then there will be fireworks. There is, as yet, no coup. A coup is a sudden strike aimed at capturing or killing the head of state and taking control of Communications and government offices. It is not a long maneuvering and plotting to use illegitimate and fake levers of law to remove the president by political or judicial means. A coup is nigh impossible without the support of an autonomous military unit or the FBI or the Secret Service.

When most on this site grew up we had no so called LGBT types in office, much less Muslims, others whose father and/or mother was/were foreigners from 3rd world countries, plus many others with no concern for anyone except for themselves and and/or their enrichment. Tell me about it which is exactly why I tell people don’t be so damn sure Trump will be reelected. You are correct to date. They need to be taught some hard lessons either within the existing legal system if possible. The structure of our government does not seem capable of dealing with a situation where the House of Representatives is in enemy hands and willing to destroy the country to gain absolute power. If the existing governmental remedies fail, it will fall to the people to decide what they must do.

This is all a conversation because the Senate is fekless. No one can really be sure what the Senate will do. If the Senate said they would supoena all the worthless Dems and their children AND it was clear they had the votes non of this would be a serious discussion. Whoever is President can appoint a new VP—and the Senate can confirm the appointment—well before that President’s impeachment could be considered by the Senate. So the only way for impeachment to result in a Democrat President is for the Senate (and hence, the GOP) to permit it.
