The path they are taking is blatantly obvious. They are going to push and push until they get a reaction. They don’t believe there will be a reaction that will cause them harm. They’re ready to go to the mattresses. They simply don’t believe that anything will be done to them that will harm them. They believe they are right and they are ironclad certain they are the only one’s in this fight that is willing to use their power with force and impunity.
They believe they are up against an enemy who isn’t willing to go to the lengths they are willing to go to win. That’s Schiff’s path. He has the will to go to any level to win. He doesn’t believe his enemy has that will.
You are correct to date. They need to be taught some hard lessons either within the existing legal system if possible. The structure of our government does not seem capable of dealing with a situation where the House of Representatives is in enemy hands and willing to destroy the country to gain absolute power. If the existing governmental remedies fail, it will fall to the people to decide what they must do.
I love this response, I think the same way. The rats haven’t even been slowed down, and they become more emboldened every day. If the police never issue citations for running red lights or speeding, then running red lights and speeding therefore must be legal, and even the correct thing to do.
That’s Schiff’s path. He has the will to go to any level to win. He doesn’t believe his enemy has that will.

I think Schifft is desperate to avoid what is coming - payments from Ukraine oligarhs, association with Ed Buck, Standard Hotel, etc..he’s in the middle of the whole coup mess.
