There is very interesting video down thread that shows the action as it happened. The defender on the left reacts nearly instantly. If you continue to view the video, it appears that at least three additional armed guardians move into the scene to cover the perp while the defender stands over the perp to ensure he’s neutralized.

Youtube took it down. They don't really want to show the good guy killing the bad guy, so they say it too graphic.
