Yes, it’s quick. My brother lasted 60 days after initial stage 3 diagnosis.
My BIL lasted about 16 months. Passed away Dec 7. He and my sister were married 43 years.

I’m not certain why but it appears anyone and everyone seems not to get “stage 3,” but moves right to stage 4 usually lasting less than 6 weeks!
Sorry to hear of your mother but I guess it’s a blessing that at that stage, without suffering so much, even though our time to be together is so brief.
