As DACA Ends, Deportation Proceedings Begin

While the decision is still technically hung up at the Supreme Court, DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) remains on track to come to an end.

Zoila Pelayo, who has been a DACA participant since 2012, recently received notice that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has sought reopening of her removal proceedings.

And this is just the beginning.

ICE has informed CNN that every DACA recipient whose deportation case was administratively closed can expect to see his or her proceeding reopened.

One repercussion that Barack Obama probably didn’ anticipate when he summoned the program into existence via the phone and the pen is the fact that the DACA registration system is now turning into an extremely effective deportation tool for ICE. By definition, anyone who accepted entry into the program verified that they were in the country unlawfully. That means that once the program shuts down, deportation hearings can be handled expeditiously unless the individual has obtained some other form of legal documentation (naturalization or a visa, etc.) in the intervening period.

Trump told Congress, if you want DACA, make it a law, and give me money for my wall. I’ll even double the number of people it covers, but make it a law, and give me my wall.

Since he is building his wall without them, their negotiating room is shrinking by the day.

Can’t help but wonder how much the cartels paid Barry for DACA. Unlike the Common Core scam,it probably was paid in cash over time brought in with diplomatic pouches from Mexico. No paper trail.

I just hope they start with those who have criminal records first. The sob stories will be rampant otherwise.

Yet another issue the Resistance cost Democrats. Could have been a compromise, Trump was willing to deal, normal politics would have sealed it but instead we got the tantrums of spoiled children soiling their diapers.

If DACA’s want to blame someone for their predicament, they can look straight to their illegal alien parents. These criminal parents are the cause of all DACA problems in America, including the huge expense to American citizens.

Congressmen more worried about creating political hay than solving issues....

DACA was wholesale unconstitutional.... and Congress has had YEARS now to address this issue, and refuses to...

That’s one approach. Or start with kittens and puppies and get the wailing out of the way.

The GOP refused to sue and stop DACA because they wanted any amnesty they could get any way they could get it.

If the White House loses that challenge they will need to start the termination process over, providing a clearer explanation of why the program would end.

No, what they'd need to do is switch from their judicially-failed "DACA is unconstitutional" argument to "we don't like DACA as a policy matter" - which at least 4 courts have said they have the authority to do.

When does the DACA E.O. end? I didn't realize there was time limit on Obambi's run around Congress.

I get so sick of hearing from the wailers that a 1000 miles of wall has not been built. Pres. Trump has many other accomplishments regarding illegal immigration. He has used DOD funds for more wall and many contracts are in place that most don't know about. 2020 will see an exponential pace of wall building!

More importantly, he threatened Mexico with tariffs and they folded by accepting 10's of thousands of the bogus asylum seekers to be staged in their country. I understand there are about 50,000 now sitting in Mexico. Mexico also placed troops on their southern border. That is all huge!

Because of this arrangement with Mexico, when is the last time you've heard about a new caravan heading from Central America? Word has gotten out to those countries and peoples. They now know they can't just pass through Mexico and arrive at our borders seeking asylum and be automatically allowed entrance with a court date and then disappear.

Against all opposition, Pres. Trump is keeping his promise. Now he is deporting DACA illegals. Trump will win a landslide in 2020 and I would be surprised if he doesn't get the popular vote, also.

Bad deal. A wall can be torn-down or allowed to be breached; but a DACA stays forever.

The cartels took over the drug business all the way down to street level with it.
