Illinois’ population went down by an estimated 51,250 people in 2019, or 0.4%, marking the sixth consecutive year the state has lost residents, according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Since the turn of the decade, Illinois has lost more residents than any other state, with a drop of about 159,700 people, or 1.2% of its population. Only three other states have shrunk since 2010: Connecticut, Vermont and West Virginia, with the latter losing the largest share of its residents, a 3.3% decline.

Word has it that DEMOCRATS are resettling illegals as fast as they can throughout the state before the Census and 2020 elections.

One silver lining of any future stock-crash and economic meltdown is that states like Illinois will immediately become insolvent. The ensuing political crisis will be fun to watch (from a distance). Yes, I know they technically can’t “go bankrupt” but people felt the same way about the Soviet Union too.

with the latter losing the largest share of its residents

Is it too much to expect those paid to write know that 'latter' is a comparative form (one of two) while 'last' refers to an item in a list of more than two?

“We’ve known for a while that the projections are that we would lose one district possibly or more, but we won’t know that until we have the actual number for the census,” a spokesman for the Illinois State Board of Elections said. One possible result, he added, is the loss of a congressional district in the southern part of the state.

Someone needs to tell him it doesn’t work that way. A seat goes away, but it is not in any one place. All of the seats get realigned based on the shifting demographics of the state.

When a state goes bankrupt, it should lose its status as a state and revert to a territory with no Senators or Representatives. It can then reorganize and perhaps reapply for statehood.

Previous thread stated that New York lost 76k this year which is greater than reported on this thread.

Again: Texas is closed.

Ideally, but reality has GOP losing those one or two seats. RATS feast in urban areas. Just like in California they will easily gerrymander to remove GOP seats only.

CA, NY, and ILL are Democrap owned. If you don’t like it then leave.
