I bought pickups for a Stratocaster used for about $25 off the new price.
They were not $200 fender pickups, they were $12 Chinese pickups that somebody had ‘returned’.
I had to tell Amazon that I was not the one ripping them off.
They did believe me.

Another one was a Mopar ‘made in USA’ IAC valve for a throttle body on a Jeep.
I open the box and it’s stamped Made in China right on it.
Back it went!

So then, I paid $20 more for one from a local dealer.
The box said made in USA but....the part had ‘made in Mexico’ stamped right on it.

Maybe they got it from Amazon?

Well, it worked fine so....kept it.

To: right way right

Somebody tried that on my on Ebay, too.

I know Squire Strat pickups when I see them.
Of course he used a fake picture of real pickups. I think I was trying for Mexican Strat pickups (cheaper but better than Squire).

I complained to Ebay and got my money back. Many, many years ago.
