Not true. The “Arab Spring” was designed to give the arab countries over to the Muslim Brotherhood, Zero’s favorites. Egypt rejected it, and Syria fought back. Only Libya was taken over by the MB.
I agree with that thought, but upwards of 13 nations were infiltrated and had to fight off the Muslim Brotherhood effort.
As for Syria, I’m not sure it was hit by the Muslim Brotherhood per se.
I think al Qaeda was to operational force up there.
I’ve argued for years that (essentially) there are guns for hire across the Middle East who don’t give a fig about Islam. They use it as an excuse, and will fight under any flag for some form of payment.
Others argue that these groups are simply different factions of Islam. They may be right. I’m not buying it.
We gave al Qaeda arms and money, and the next thing you know ISIS was flaming across the region. They had instant cash and arms. How do you explain that outside of the arms and funding we gave al Qaeda.
