The UMC is on the same track as the UUA, just 25 years behind. Unitarians accepted the authority of Christ up until about 1980 in most of their churches. Today they are thoroughly multicultural, lacking any discernible religious authority. The UMC leadership, the Bishops and Global Council, are anxious to get there.
Christ centered Methodists are just as anxious for this divorce to be finalized. They can have the money and property. We will keep the Holy Spirit.
