1. ACTION ITEM: Prince William County trying to pull a fast one on a sanctuary repeal vote on Tuesday, January 7

In order to sneak by a vote to repeal Prince William County's sanctuary status and to back the Governor's gun-control agenda, the new Board of Supervisors has moved the vote from 7 pm to 2 pm on Tuesday, January 7!

Have no doubt, they don't want a crowd there when they do that treachery.

Let's NOT let them get away with it. If they are going to do something that cowardly and despicable, then let them do it in front of a thousand of their constituents!

Details:

1 County Complex Ct.
Prince William County, VA

2. ACTION ITEM: Highland County to vote on sanctuary resolution on Wednesday, January 8!

Turnout needed!

Finally, Highland County is going to take a vote on becoming a 2A Sanctuary on Wednesday, January 8 at 6 pm. We need Highland County to complete the counties in the western part of the state.

Location:

Highland County High School
Myers Moon Rd, Monterey, VA 24465

Board of Supervisors members:

David Blanchard
John Moyers

Harry Sponaugle

You can email the entire board with one email: hcboard@htcnet.org

-

Member J. Hill sent me this:

This is a crucial meeting. Highland is one of the last vestiges in Virginia that could turn green. We need a lot of people to show up.

This will be the Board's first meeting for 2 of our newly elected officials. The other (3rd) official got re-elected. His name is David Blanchard, nice fellow and typically quiet politically, but recently has given us reason to believe he’ll vote against it. Nobody can read the other two board members, Harry Sponaugle and John Moyers, Jr., both from McDowel.

Before making your way West out over Shenandoah Mtn., 1) fill up on gas and eat something, since the two town restaurants/gas stations will be closed before we finish. 2) If coming in from out of Highland, please allow the school gymnasium to be filled with Highland residents only. There should be plenty of room for out-of-towners in the school hallways and/or classrooms to stand.

This will be an organized event where several Highland citizens are scheduled to present up to a 2 minute presentation before the night is up and the new board members either vote or table it.

3. Reminder: Virginia Beach to vote on sanctuary resolution on Monday, January 6!

Virginia Beach's Mayor has called a special session on January 6th at 6pm with one item on the agenda: a Second Amendment Constitutional Resolution (verbiage below).

Time: January 6th - Meeting starts at 6pm, but the room will fill much earlier, so get there as soon as you can to get a seat.

Location: Virginia Beach City Hall, the same location as the Dec 3rd meeting.
2401 Courthouse Dr.
Virginia Beach, VA 23456

Parking: There is plenty of public parking around the municipal complex on both Courthouse Drive and on the north side of George Mason Drive

Contact: If you want to speak, call the City Clerk at 757-385-4303

Carry: Carry is allowed, open or concealed, in VB City Hall. The courthouse is in a separate building. VBPD is always very thankful for our demeanor at these meetings. If you see an officer there, please take a moment to thank them for their dedication to the public and for their work.

Council will have a workshop at 4pm - prior to the formal meeting. Public comment is not taken at a workshop. Both of these meetings will be streamed at https://www.vbgov.com/media/Pages/default.aspx and televised. I would recommend everyone watch the workshop if possible to know each council member's thoughts. But remember as we discuss with the council and email them, just because they didn't sponsor the resolution, doesn't mean they don't support it. We need to ask, discuss, and convince, not attack.

Please email each council member expressing your support for this resolution at CityCouncil@vbgov.com, that email address reaches all members of council.

Or if you want to send individual emails or call each member that contact info is here
https://www.vbgov.com/government/departments/city-clerk/city-council/Pages/city-council-members.aspx

If you have already reached out to VB council once, please do so AGAIN between now and Sunday - Moms Demand Action has stepped up contacting council and we need our voice to be overwhelming.

Please don't think you can sit this one out. Staying home is what cost us so many elections this past November. We need an enormous presence to offset the anti's that are organizing. Time to turn out all the Patriots again. Clear your calendar.
Overflow viewing and seating will be in Building 19 across the street from City Hall, but amassing in front of City Hall worked out great last time, let's do it again!

All those who wish to address council will be heard. The City Clerk is working hard to finalize a plan to shuffle groups of speakers into and out of the building so we don't put City Hall at over capacity again. ;-)

4. ACTION ITEM: Clarke County to vote on sanctuary resolution on Monday, January 6!

Let's make this happen!

The Clarke County Board of Supervisors has a work session set to consider the wording of a resolution. Vote may occur at work session if there is agreement.

Monday, January 6, 10:00 am

Government Center
Second Floor, Main Meeting Room
101 Chalmers Court, Berryville

5. RSVP for Pre-Lobby Day Dinner on Sunday, January 19

VCDL will once again have our Lobby Day dinner at the Hibachi Sushi and Supreme Buffet on Sunday night, January 19, at 6 pm. We are attempting to negotiate a group rate, so we need an accurate head count.

If you plan to attend, please email Bob Sadtler at bob.sadtler@VCDL.org. To make it easy to tally, please put the number in your party in the subject line.

Lobby Day dinner
6 pm
Hibachi Sushi & Supreme Buffet
Westland Shopping Center
8087 West abroad St
Richmond, Va. 24294

See you there!

I went to the PWC town hall meeting on Saturday. There may have been 20 people there sporting the orange “Guns Save Lives.” stickers. There should have been 1000 people trying to stop this madness. The supervisors sat there with contempt on their faces.

I have been a supporter of VCDL, GOA, NRA (life), and JPFO for many years.

Sneaky, deceitful bastards those D’rats.

A great big bunch of y’all need to take a personal day and fill that palace overfull from 9am on. Lots of big signs (several saying “We support or LEOs”).

Some of The Rules:

Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.

Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy.

Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.

Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.

Agood tactic is one your people enjoy.

Just saw a post by Philip Van Cleave of VCDL from about 15 minutes ago:

Clarke County just became a sanctuary! Virginia now has 117 sanctuaries.

The newly installed Prince William County Board of Supervisors (majority Democrats) will most certainly vote themselves as a “non Sanctuary County” tomorrow.
