When he ran as a Republican, he swore up and down he was "Mr. Moderate" and the mean, nasty, EXTREMIST right-wingers just couldn't tolerate sensible CENTRIST views like his own.

When he ran as a RAT, he swore up and down he was "Mr. Progressive" and that the OTHER Democrats (who were lifelong, card-carrying commies UNLIKE him) just weren't as PROGRESSIVE and left-wing and he was, claiming to be the one TRUE Marxist in the room. (He was pretty much laughed out of those events).

What's he gonna run on now? Show up at the Libertarian convention with a "GUNS=FREEDOM" badge and vow to legalize Crack Cocaine and sex with farm animals, I guess.

This cretin truly has no shame.

He was so bad, I endorsed his pro-life Democrat opponent for Senator in 2000, Bob Weygand (even with Fred Thompson endorsing Missing Linc). His voting record was almost identical to Hillary Clinton’s (after she joined him in the Senate in 2001). It’s too bad Chafee lost to Weldon $hithouse instead of Weygand, as he was actually more execrable and leftist than Linky.

“When he ran as a Republican, he swore up and down he was “Mr. Moderate” and the mean, nasty, EXTREMIST right-wingers just couldn’t tolerate sensible CENTRIST views like his own.”

I make a habit of BLASTING people here who keep saying that there’s no difference between the Democrat and Republican parties, and I do that based on one thing - the confirmation of judges, which the differences are night and day. Sure, we lose a RINO once in while, but even RINOs vote STRONGLY for Trump’s judges (on the order of 98%), and that includes Trump’s pro-life judges - and no Democrat comes close, NOT A SINGLE ONE. (hopefully you people understand this, given Trump’s record with judges)

Having said the above, Lincoln Chaffee is the son of the late John Chaffee, a RINO of 25 or so years ago, who also had a mostly pro-Reagan voting record, but also did his share of being a jerk. I’d say John Chaffee voting record was similar to Lisa Murkowski’s record.

But then John goes bye-bye and is replaced by his son Lincoln. The guy was PATHETIC as a Republican and spent most of his time in the Senate trying to undercut President Bush (Jr.)...this is a TRUE RINO, far worse than Murkowski, Collins, or Romney, and if he were still in the Senate, I would have no problem with people saying he was no different than a Democrat - since he wasn’t, and at the time there were 1 or 2 Democrats with more conservative voting records than Lincoln Chaffee.

...anyway, as for today, the difference in the voting records of the most liberal Republican, Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), and the most conservative Democrat, Joe Manchin, is HUGE, as Manchin continues to support Shuemer on judges (which means voting NO on the contested judgeships), and Murkowski still supports Trump on most of the contested judges (Kavenaugh being an exception due to tribalism, and probably a few lower court ones).

So today, I will continue to note that there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between the parties and for people who may think about splitting tickets in November, you might as well stay home, since you’re canceling out your own votes...and yes, that applies to voters in Virginia too, the ones now losing their guns (or living with the possibility of a felony charge over their heads) because they figured there was no difference between the parties.

Either that, or he’s looking to beef up his legacy on his Wikipedia page.

If he has a page. I haven’t even looked yet...
