'Duty as a citizen': Bruce Ohr concealed efforts to spread Steele dossier
Washington Times ^ | 1/5/2020 | Rowan Scarborough

Bruce Ohr, the highest-ranking Obama Justice Department official to involve himself in distributing the anti-Trump dossier, carried out his freelancing through numerous meetings, phone calls and emails as a link between the FBI and Hillary Clinton forces.

He told a colleague that the Russia election scandal reached the top — Donald Trump. It was his “duty as a citizen” to spread the unverified allegations around town, he said.

During all of Mr. Ohr’s maneuverings, from the summer of 2016 to Mr. Trump’s election to the fall of 2017, he hid the operation from his bosses.

When Mr. Ohr’s name surfaced in media reports, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was stunned, according to an accounting by Justice Department Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz.

In November 2017, Mr. Rosenstein immediately stripped Mr. Ohr of two lofty titles: associate deputy attorney general and director of the Justice Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.

“The idea that he actually had some role in this Russia investigation was shocking to me,” Mr. Rosenstein later told the inspector general. “We had been fending off these congressional inquiries. And they were asking for all sorts of stuff, 302s [FBI reports] and things, and … I had no idea that somebody on my staff had actually been involved in … an operational way in the investigation.”

Mr. Horowitz’s 434-page report on FBI abuse of wiretap laws to target Trump campaign associate Carter Page includes scores of pages on Mr. Ohr and his one-man Washington operation. The inspector general concluded that Mr. Ohr had committed “consequential errors in judgment” and “lapses in judgment.”

It’s so cute how Rosenweasel pretends to not be involved in the coup.

The bureaucrats often think they get to make policy all by themselves, that elections mean nothing, that they, the bureaucrats are “the government”.

If we understand the Constitution correctly, only Congress, the President and their cabinet (approved by the Senate), and the appointed judges of the judiciary (nominated by POTUS approved by the Senate) are THE GOVERNMENT (federal). Everyone else receiving a federal paycheck is merely hired help.

They keep on talking about how it was their duty to spread this dossier as if it was real and somehow needed to be distributed.

They knew it was fake, they knew they were spreading lies, and they did it anyway.

They didn’t spread this out of some sense of duty, they knew it was garbage they were spreading it on purpose knowing it was garbage.

They were not innocently passing along info, they were helping to manufacture and spread the Garbage.

See below: Yep, Barr is really on the ball. Ohr is not only working for the DOJ, but is getting paid more after his demotion.

The Justice Department official who was demoted for serving as the conduit between the FBI and ex-British spy Christopher Steele received nearly $43,000 in taxpayer-funded performance bonuses during the early stages of the Russia investigation, according to documents released Friday.

The official, Bruce Ohr, also received a $2,600 salary increase after his demotion, the records revealed.

A few questions here: 1. Why is he still collecting a pay check. 2. Why is he not in gitmo. or 3. why is he not hanging by a lamp pole.

Perhaps he an entry into someone higher up?? One name comes to mind: Lynch. Since spouses cannot be forced to testify against each other, it does not look like he could be used against Nellie, his wife, who would get us to Simpson and then Brennan. So, I guess the only path to upward via Ohr would be Lynch.

There is a rats nest of traitors here to burn out. Comey is the highest one at this point whom is dead meat if they pull the switch. The slimy Brennan would be a good get too. Perhaps one facing extensive jail time could blow it open, unfortunately, there is not much momentum going forward, just a lot of hot air.

Of all the people to know it was fake, Bruce Ohr is the most obvious offender. His wife helped write it. There is no "I wasn't sure if it was real or not" with this guy. His wife wrote it (with Christopher Steele) and his role was to distribute it. Conpsiracy.

EXACTLY! Bruce Ohr’s own wife was the main person involved in concocting the fake Russia collusion information! Either Bruce Ohr is so stupid and hapless that he was manipulated by his wife into treasonous actions, or he is simply a traitorous bastard.

A “consequential error in judgement” is when you judge that your wife’s power tool collection is inadequate.

A “lapse in judgment” is when you judge that her birthday isn’t this month, but six months away.

IIRC, plotting to overthrow a duly elected President is sedition. The penalty for sedition is up to 20 years and/or a fine.

Yes, the IG is making excuses when what Ohr did was not an error in judgement, but very intentional and very political.
