Schatz seeks to block Trump from attacking Iran

U.S. Sens. Brian Schatz and Tim Kaine have introduced a War Powers Resolution in an attempt to force a debate and vote in Congress to prevent further escalation of hostilities with Iran, Schatz said.

“Congress, not the president, has the constitutional authority to declare war, and I oppose a war with Iran,” Schatz, D-Hawaii, said Monday in a release. “No one mourns the death of Iranian Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, a ruthless terrorist responsible for the deaths of thousands, including hundreds of Americans.”

But Trump’s decision to have him killed him near Baghdad airport “carries serious strategic consequences for which he was unprepared, including the unraveling of our relationship with Iraq, undermining our ability to prevent ISIS’s return, and putting U.S. diplomats and service members in Iraq and the region in danger,” Schatz said.

I surmise most of the DC democrats received kickbacks from the Obozo’s $150 billion gift to Iran. Their loyalty to the IranIan regime has very likely been bought and paid for. Obozo now owns three multi million dollar mansions and his book was a flop. Where did he get all that money?

Just a wild thought for Senators Schatz and Kaine:
1) Are there ever serious strategic consequences for FAILING TO ACT?
2) Would allowing Soleimani to organize and equip a major attack on the US embassy in Baghdad, with many US personnel killed or taken hostage, and many Iraqis casualties, have had serious consequences?
3) Would you have blamed Trump if that had happened?
4) Does a President have the luxury of sitting on the fence, or they have to make decisions in real time?

There needs to be some sort of minimum intelligence requirement for the House and Senate. I am sick of extremely low IQ demagogues holding high office.
