Im convinced that at least half of the homeless are capable of doing non-skilled entry level work. Problem is that welfare benefits are so generous they can live quite comfortable on them without working. The solution is to set a time limit on the benefits and start welfare to work program. This would ferret out the slackers from those legitimately needing help.
I’m encouraged that we still have 7 million people willing to get off the program once they find a job.
