Trumps decision to delay his state of the Union address or not is his to make. He’ll determine what is the better way to go given all circumstances as I see it.

not his to make

Not exactly he has to give it but the law does not say how; it is now tradition to do so as a speech but as I recall early on they just sent a letter. Check out wiki it confirms the law. As an earlier post indicated, do it at a rally - in the largest arena available and advertise it as his state of the union to the people not to their representatives.

Why go to be viewed by a cold, stone quiet Democrat Party? Nancy will keep the sitting on there hands—or worse. Have them shouting “Step Down!” “Lock him up!” “Murderer!” and such. All he says will be mocked my the Press and put down as egomanical rants by MSM. Why go? Its a setup To add to the impeachment charges.

It sure is. The constitution says he has to do it from time to time. He can sure as hell CAN decide a couple of months from now is a better time.
