I last visited the city of Tagaytay in 2004, but was in Batangas province in 2017. Tagaytay is in Cavite and the Taal volcano 🌋 is in the lake, below Tagaytay, in Batangas. It has been rumbling for a long time. I think the Mayon, in the Legaspi peninsula, has been going off for years. We are about 250 miles from Taal. We see only traces of ash. My friends are visiting from Texas, and might be stranded here, as we don’t know how this will affect air travel from Manila to SFO/LAX. 👎
