Donald Trump said Monday that Democrats are a 'disgrace' to the U.S., insisting those within the party are defending slain Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.
'When the Democrats try and defend him – it's a disgrace to our country, they can't do that. And let me tell you, it's not working politically very well for them,' Trump told reporters before departing the White House for New Orleans where he will attend the college football national championship game.
Democrats have lamented the president didn’t inform Congress before launching the attack and have raised questions over the intelligence that led the president to order the drone strike.
'The Democrats and the Fake News are trying to make terrorist Soleimani into a wonderful guy, only because I did what should have been done for 20 years,' Trump posted to Twitter Monday. 'Anything I do, whether it's the economy, military, or anything else, will be scorned by the Rafical Left, Do Nothing Democrats!' he said, misspelling 'radical.'
Earlier in the day Monday, Trump also launched an extraordinary attack directed at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer by retweeting an image depicting the two in Muslim head garb.

When I saw that spelling, I raffed.
It’s quite simple. Trump tweets what we’re all thinking but usually won’t for fear of repercussion. Trump doesn’t care. I think he doesn’t want to look back and think that he didn’t fight for his country.

I thought our feckless allies were going to abandon us on Iran because of Trump’s “reckless assassination” of Soleimani according to the Dem narrative. Not only did he get rid of Iran’s leading terrorist but more incredibly he implanted a spine in our European allies. Unfortunately the Dems never had one to begin with.

President Obama genuinely pushed the policy that Iran was a strategic partner of the United States in the Middle East and that handing over the region to Soleimani was the best way ensure “ peace “ in the region.
That is the policy Obama and the Democrats pursued - while simultaneously supporting al Qaeda and ISIS in Syria, Egypt, Libya and Iraq as well.

Who defines “presidential” in this day and age anyway?
President Trump’s communications by tweet are an embodiment of an updated definition of “presidential”, reflecting the modern age of social media news sharing.
The younger generations expect memes, images and bluntly concise wording. Is this a good thing? Maybe not, I don’t tweet, but I sure get that the President had better if he wants to reach the Americans who grew up with social media and know nothing else.
The tweet will be employed by all presidents going forward, although none will be as good at trolling as our President!

I admit I am way far beyond the “un-presidential” thing. I don’t even care any more.
It was one of the most infuriating things to me about President Bush, that he seemed perfectly fine with having a “Kick Me” sign placed on his back. He wouldn’t stick up for himself at all.
