The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? - Jeremiah 17:9

I'll take Almighty God's Word over that of demonic communists.

On the feathers, it's not that you can't bring back all the feathers, but that you are trying to bring back as many feather as you can. Repentance means actual work in the right direction. We tend to think if you are forgiven you don't have any work to do. On the contrary, there may be a lot of work to do.

Jesus said it best "For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required" Luke 12:48. When someone forgives you they have given a lot and yet a lot may be required yet of you, He says.

This is true of Salvation as well. Jesus death on the cross paid for the sins of the whole world, yet much is required. Living a life of giving and love, where there was no giving and no love, is called for. Forgiving graciously where you never forgave like that is required (not that it affects your salvation but that it is evidence of Salvation).

He also referred to this in Luke 3:8 "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance", repentance bears fruit.

Therefore, I would respond to the Rabbi that I will go retrieve as many feathers as I can and live a life of repentance and do the opposite - lifting those in authority up and in Prayer whenever I can.

To me the impossibility of bringing back the feathers compares to the impossibility of bringing a slander back. Once out in the world, it just keeps going.

It seems that way, yet it is up to good men to overcome it than to do nothing. We live in an era of slanders and false accusations. It is time for good men (and women) to pray to God to overcome and to walk in His power to do so.

That is the point, and why in the Bible slander is as the sin of murder as you, (kill intentionally), your victims character and name.

Like a forest fire, the damage carries beyond the original match. It is also why not bearing false witness is one of the ten commandments.

It is just like the children’s object lesson of putting the toothpaste back into the tube.

Once the words are out there, they can never be retracted. Even the Bible says the important thing is not to say them in the first place.

There is forgiveness, there is repentance, but there are also consequences.

Every member of the left-wing media needs to be sent to a prison in iran for at least 30 years. That’ll cure them.

Prager has a big enough platform that he could call them out on this lie and get results.

That’s not the case for 95% of the people they slander.

This is worth repeating. Glad you posted it.

One of my favorite stories that I have heard for most of my life is the story of “gathering the feathers”. In the south, the saying is somewhat different, “it is hard to get the sh*t back in the horse after he has dropped a load on you” (or something to that effect).

Process used everyday by the leftist media:

They’ll publish either an outright lie or publish a statement that comes really close to becoming a lie.

They know their statement will be picked up by other leftist media organs, amplified and published. This is what happened to Prager.

The originating media may publish a retraction. But only after their buddies have run with the original statement. This is also what happened the Prager.
