That article wrongly assumes everyone will be carrying. No, all weapons are banned. Also, we know the media will lie and portray 2nd A guys as nuts. They will do this anyway, even if they have to fake the pictures. Why try to placate them?
It was a bill that came out of committee not passed yet. I think the recall issue is a constitutional one. It would have to be passed by two successive legislative sessions and then put to the voters. It would not pass in time to help Northram. Similarly a proposal to increase the Governor’s term to 8years is a constitutional change. The legislature couldn’t just take a single vote to make it happen.
Some came, some stayed home.
