Who won the national popular vote for governors?
How many voted for a Democrat governor vs a Republican governor if we accumulated the totals of all these state elections?
I know, who cares, it is irrelevant because there IS NO NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE for governors!
Just so, for president, we vote in a state, not a national election, to advise our state how we want it to use its constitutional powers to choose a president. So there is no national popular vote, nor should the fiction that it exists be perpetuated by any reporting over who won it.
We are the United States, not the United People, of America, and our states united under this power sharing agreement over choosing a president that would help protect the voices, and hence the sovereignty of the smaller states. And even more so for the 2-each equality of US Senators. Any attempt to subvert that founding agreement in favor of a national popular vote for president is breaking faith with the very fabric that united our states.
I have never voted for a dem, and never will vote for one, regardless what office he or she is running for.
You can only vote for the governor of your state, not another state.
