Joe Biden, the former vice president and 2020 candidate for President of the United States, has shared some harsh thoughts on Silicon Valley game developers, as reported in a wide-reaching interview with The New York Times.
When asked about the Obama administration's legacy on Silicon Valley regulation, Biden talks about meeting with leaders in Silicon Valley to discuss intellectual property rights, and describes interacting with an unspecified game developer as "one of the little creeps" who make games that "teach you how to kill people."
"And at one point, one of the little creeps sitting around that table, who was a multi- close to a billionaire who told me he was an artist because he was able to come up with games to teach you how to kill people, you know the ," said Biden.
The reporter interrupted Biden at this point to clarify he was talking about video games, to which he agrees. The senator went on to use the words "righteous" and "overwhelming arrogance" to further describe those working in tech at Silicon Valley.
"And then one of these righteous people said to me that, you know, 'We are the economic engine of America. We are the ones.' And fortunately, I had done a little homework before I went and I said, you know, I find it fascinating. As I added up the seven outfits, everyones there but Microsoft. I said you have fewer people on your payroll than all the losses that General Motors just faced in the last quarter, of employees. So dont lecture me about how youve created all this employment," continued Biden.
"The point is, theres an arrogance about it, an overwhelming arrogance that we are, we are the ones. We can do what we want to do. I disagree,"

Yes he is, but on this point, he is correct.
Can you just see him traveling to Davos and representing the USA?
No worries, Joe. Those little creeps will vote Democrat no matter what you say.
Here is an excerpt of the NYT interview where Biden makes his “little creeps” comment:
KK: Under the Obama administration, Silicon Valleys power actually expanded greatly. There are very few mergers blocked. Do you have any regrets about that?
Biden: The reason why I was given presidential power when I was given an assignment is because I kept the disagreements I had with the president just that, as I said at the outset, with the president. One of the reasons he said he picked me was Id never walked in the Oval Office and be intimidated by being in the Oval Office. Id always tell him what I thought, but at the end of the day, he gets to make the decision.
There are places where he and I have disagreed. About 30 percent of the time, I was able to convince him to my side of the equation. Seventy percent of the time I wasnt when we disagreed, when he laid something out. And you may recall, the criticism I got for meeting with the leaders in Silicon Valley, when I was trying to work out an agreement dealing with them protecting intellectual property for artists in the United States of America. And at one point, one of the little creeps sitting around that table, who was a multi- close to a billionaire who told me he was an artist because he was able to come up with games to teach you how to kill people, you know the
CW: Like video games.
Biden: Yeah, video games. And I was lectured by one of the senior leaders there that by saying if I insisted on what Leahyd put together and we were, I thought we were going to fully support, that they would blow up the network, figuratively speaking. Have everybody contact. They get out and go out and contact the switchboard, just blow it up.
And then one of these righteous people said to me that, you know, We are the economic engine of America. We are the ones. And fortunately I had done a little homework before I went and I said, you know, I find it fascinating. As I added up the seven outfits, everyones there but Microsoft. I said, you have fewer people on your payroll than all the losses that General Motors just faced in the last quarter, of employees. So dont lecture me about how youve created all this employment.
The point is, theres an arrogance about it, an overwhelming arrogance that we are, we are the ones. We can do what we want to do. I disagree. Every industrial revolution, every major technological breakthrough, every single one. Were in the fourth one. The hardest speech Ive ever had to make in my life, I was asked to speak at the World Economic Forum, to give an answer on, to speak to the fourth industrial revolution. Will there be a middle class? Its not so clear there will be, and Ive worked on it harder than any speech Ive ever worked on.
The fact is, in every other revolution that weve had technologically, its taken somewhere between six years and a generation for a government to come in and level the playing field again. All of a sudden, remember the Luddites smashing the machinery in the Midlands? That was their answer when the culture was changing. Same thing with television. Same thing before that with radio. Same thing, but this is gigantic. And its a responsibility of government to make sure it is not abused. Not abused. And so this is one of those areas where I think its being abused. For example, the idea that he cooperates with knowing that Russia was engaged in dealing with using the internet, I mean using their platform, to try to undermine American elections. Thats close to criminal.
Yep. The ol’ stopped clock thing.
I call b.s.
this is creep on creep bashing
Well at least Joe didn’t call them roaches like he did the black kids in his lap.
“We can do what we want to do. I disagree,””
And if Joe disagrees, you can’t do it. As president, he would make sure no one could do anything he disagrees with.
Senile Old Joe is probably not even going to be the nominee, his BFF
Barack Obama won't endorse him... heck, even the NY Slimes wouldn't
endorse him.
Where is the elder abuse hotline?
I would like to report that a family is exploiting a senior male with anger and possible dementia issues who should be under care, instead they have him running for president so they call can exploit his title to personally enrich themselves.
Takes one to know one nuzzlin’ joe.
Well, they will vote for Bernie first - so Biden needs to knock him out before patching things up with the creeps. :)
they will still throw money at his ca,campaign...............
The NYT just Endorsed Lieawatha Warren AND Amy Klobuchar for POTUS.
Apparently they think it takes two Women to do the work of one Joe Biden.
I say they should have a Push Up Contest to decide the Winner.
Was one of the executives named Corn Pop?
Yes, but it's beyond ironic for Biden, or anyone else who is part of big government and champions it, to call someone else arrogant.
Exactly right.
And they call us crazy................
I see a new game coming: Biden Hunter!
