Trump may be able to pull it off, but Romney and his merry band of 5 or 6 will do their damnedest to hurt reelection by voting with the dems in the trial to stop his reelection chances. I think Romney will be able to deliver enough votes for witnesses and new evidence throughout the trial and also to show a bipartisan majority for conviction, but it will be far short of 67 needed for conviction.

I expect urban riots and terrorist tactics like IEDs and even political assassinations. Foreign terrorist groups could find willing allies with the Trump deranged. I could expect martial law might be needed to quell the open insurrection

Conservatives acknowledge good or bad and when one of our own does something wrong, we let them know. If a Lib does something wrong, they don’t care and at most will make excuses for them.
