Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) mocked House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Sunday over her repeated insistence that President Donald Trump will be impeached forever, saying that by the time the Senate is done with the trial, Trump will be acquitted forever of these bogus charges.
Real quick, how likely is it that we see a motion to dismiss in the first after the first 48 hours, after you actually look at those articles? Fox News Maria Bartiromo asked Cruz on Sunday Morning Futures.
You know, I dont think it is that likely, Cruz responded. And the reason is, I think dismissing this case is a much less attractive option than rendering final judgment and acquitting the president.
And the reason is twofold, Cruz said. Number one, if you do a dismissal, a dismissal doesnt reach the merits. An acquittal, a verdict of not guilty, that verdict stands for all time.

not according to nancy and the left- you’re guilty until proven innocent- here’s what they said
[[We(meaning House Dems) gave the President every opportunity to come to us and PROVE HIS INNOCENCE.]]
Hopefully the right makes it very very clear, unmistakably clear to the American people, that the left have bastardized the impeachment process and due process-
[[Impeached = charged]]
Basically it’s not much more than an indictment- as they say, you can indict a ham sandwich if you wish- proving guilt though in a trial setting is a whole different matter
Saying that he will be ‘forever impeached’ amounts really to nothing more than saying soemoen will ‘forever be indicted’- big deal! Many innocent people have been indicted for crimes they never committed- and they were later proven innocent in a court of law-
The GOP wants Trump gone...he has exposed them along with the Democrats..
But not one GOP senator will vote to convict...
The RINOS and never Trumpers will use there for votes to drag this out
Hoping it tanks Trumps poll numbers and he loses the election...
The trial must be “fair”
I do not think it will work...unless the democrats can manufacture enough fake ballots..
They are indeed bogus, and unconstitutional. By participating in a Senate trial, Cruz himself is violating his oath.
I’m still somewhat confused on the whole thing. The President’s stance is that there was no quid quo pro. I think it’s dangerous, and wrong to use that defense. All it takes is Bolton or anyone else to testify otherwise, and we’re SOL. Though, I do see that Schiff has so far found no hard evidence to prove it, and the articles sent to the Senate are totally lacking evidence to back them up.
Given AON’s reporting on Biden’s son, there seems to be ample evidence that crimes were committed by the Biden family. Why is that not the main issue? There would be absolutely nothing wrong with the President demanding a full accounting of Burisma’s shady dealings with Biden. And, of course, there would be pressure on Zelinsky - to expose crime.
I’m concerned that the Biden’s are going to get a pass. I’d rather see the battle take shape, and all the evidence thrown on the table. All of it. Pelosi’s kid, et al, should be thoroughly investigated.
This may not be the smartest approach.. I know we could lose Trump if things didn’t go his way. I could accept that, though, so long as all the chips were on the table. All the corruption exposed. The Biden’s clearly were up to no good whatsoever. There are no reasonable excuses for Hunter’s position with Burisma, or China for that matter. I’m afraid it all goes down the memory hole after the impeachment farce is over.
In 2024 he still won't be eligible.
Nor in 2028, 2032, 2036, or ever.
She showed her heart for all to see when she gave away souvenir pens, made to look exactly like 30-06 caliber high powered rifle ammo.
We need to keep praying for Trumps protection and success, and that evil will NOT prevail.
Winner! Winner! Wagyu beef steak dinner!
Probably posted here before, but DH heard on TV that Nancy spent $5K on pens for impeachment. Trump spend $2.00 for the Sharpie for the China Trade Agreement.
Pelosi stated on Anderson Coopers show that President Trump will have the impeachment stain forever.
Ah, no he wont.
Proclaiming the power of the mirrors reflecting boomerang -
Now & forever more it shall be known as The Pelosi Impeachment!
#ThePelosiImpeachment
Speaking of Impeachment and stains..... (Should we go there?)
No, it won't be Trump's turn as anything new such as witnesses or evidence admitted has to be voted on. Romney and his merry gang of 5 or 6 will vote with the dems to allow Schumer to take the impeachment trial in the direction Chuck desires.
Candidate Trump brought in the panel of women persecuted, abused or raped by the Clintons.
Lets go there! There is a whole generation that is clueless!
Blood rare, please. :)
Not Necessarily, the Senators get to Ask Questions of the House Quislings when they are done, right now they are to be in writing, but the Turtle could change that. NOTHING prevents President Trump from giving the evidence to EVERY Republican Senator in the hopes a couple will ask the hard questions.
—
And besides McConnell being able to change things (see today’s story on “kill switch” option), the lawyers on Trumps team certainly get to ask questions verbally. The lawyers don’t have to “submit questions in writing”.
And from what I have seen of the legal team on Fox News youtube clips in recent days (I don’t have cable), things look good for Trump on that score.

you buyin? Lol
I forgot he should not of been running last time. born in Canada.
Dear Senator Cruz,
What the US Senate needs to do is have an immediate vote to DISMISS the impeachment by the overly-partisan, corrupt DIMocRATS without even a pretense of a trial & then DEMAND that the more than 75 MILLION taxpayer’s dollars, that have been WASTED on this WITCH HUNT & FARCE, be repaid to the Department of the Treasury by the DIMocRATS Party.
Yours, TMN78247
