After seeing “Casino Royale” in the theater, I came away thinking this incoherent, stupid and downright boring monstrosity was the worst movie I had ever seen. The only decent aspect was the Bert Bacharach/Hal David sound track.
I was really excited to see the original version when Amazon prime had it for free. It was so stupid I couldn’t get through more than a half hour of it. I seem to remember it relying on a plethora of scantily clad women as well, but I could be wrong about that.
The remake is one of the best bond movies, IMO.
I think you’re talking about the David Niven Casino Royale, and everyone else is talking about the Daniel Craig Casino Royale.
