I remember when that rat arnie, gov of kalifornia, outlawed the 50 cal. I guess there were a lot of drive by's using a $12,000, 30 pound rifle (+ night vision scope) and using ammo at $5/round.

I read reports, no idea if they were true or not, that after California banned the 50 Cal rifles Barrett Pointed out that none of them had ever been used in the commission of a crime, and that numerous law-enforcement agencies in California owned the 50 Cal rifles. And since they were going to be illegal legal for civilians, they would no longer provide parts or any support for any law-enforcement agencies that owned them.
