I once in a while see one or two white guys with dreads. They are then excoriated for expropriation of black people’s cultural heritage.
A comedian said when the Movie “10” with Bo Derek was popular in 1979:
“I went to Africa this year. All the young girls are imitating Bo Derek’s hair style over there. Copycats.”

I once read that dreadlocks were first worn in ancient Greece. I don’t know if that’s true, but what fun it would be if it were and we called blacks out on their cultural appropriation.
