Three missiles fired from this launcher on the outskirts of Baghdad landed near the US embassy overnight Monday, but failed to kill anyone or cause significant damage

Don’t know precisely how accurate this information is, but I think folks might be surprised by some of what they read about the embassy.

I have not decided if this is harassing fire just for the heck of it (”it’s what we do”), perhaps for internal propaganda, or, it is harassing fire meant to tire us and eventually create enough dissension back home to force our withdrawal. Maybe it’s all the above.

The proper response is to warn Iran that if their stooges pull this crap again, even if there are no casualties or damage, Iran loses a major piece of infrastructure. And, this will be the response each time. Larger infractions get a larger penalty.
