Doesn't appear to have cup holders or window openers. So how is a gang gonna do drive-by shootings? Brave new world, with less fun.

What can go wrong? Humans usually don’t malfunction.

CARLORD

A human can drive 30 years ticket & accident free.

A centrally controlled robot has hundreds of malfunctions.

Its only benefit is it pays rent to its elite carlords.

“The all-electric minivan does not feature manual controls such as pedals or a steering wheel.”
Now wait a minute, I need a steering wheel and pedals even if their fake. At least I can think I’m in control. What could possibly go wrong?

I approve of the fact that they test this stupidity in San Francisco.

They are the ones that think this overcomplicated tech crap is so woke.

They can be the beta testers !

Ask Sam Kinison or James Dean about that.

There’s a chance of reducing auto deaths from 40k or so per year to maybe in the hundreds. But the tech luddites on here are too blind by far to see it. Of course it’ll take more testing but eventually it’ll be like flying. At first fairly bad but over time the safest way.

But will be able to drive on streets covered with feces that will happen after it starts overflowing the sidewalks in a couple of years?

The only thing worse than dying in a self drive vehicle is dying in one that looks that.

That is one of the ways the robots took over in the fun little novel, "Robopocalypse".

I never saw it explained how those are supposed to get through a construction site or emergency detour where the people running the scene don’t even know how a person is supposed to get through it. I run into those more often than I would like and have to do some quick thinking in those situations. .

What happens when it skids on fresh feces in the streets and gets in an accident? Who will the injured passenger sue?
