Trump already told the UN and the world that the UN doesn’t dictate to us....
Push that building full into the east river and be done with it
How does the ‘Human Rights Committee’ of the UN have any more authority than the Tooth Fairy, to tell a country what they MUST do?
“Once colonialism ended and the Third World reverted to primitive basic sustenance (with higher birthrates, lower infant mortality/longer lifespans due to Western medicine), there was simply no way theyd provide for themselves.”
The great irony that most people miss in this is that all those residents of the colonies that were so eager to get rid of their colonial masters, are now trying as hard as they can to get into the countries of their former rulers, and to again become their sugjects.
Which makes me wonder whether the great masses of these countries were actually unhappy under colonial rule or whether it was just a case of “community organizers” aka, agitators, aka, scab pickers, inflaming their sense of “fairness” into a revolt. Sort of what we’re seeing here with own scab pickers, like Bernie Pocahontas and the rest of the Marxists.
It doesn’t seem right to ship them to another country that isn’t their home land..but if that is what the UN wants...
You’re right about the former colonized people trying to get into the countries of the former “racist oppressors”. Colonialism wasn’t generally kind to the colonized (and sometimes brutal), but the newly-independent people found “freedom” often meant switching a European colonial government for a far worse “native” government (see Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin, Pol Pot). Colonialism wasn’t sustainable with such large populations administered from so far away, and in many ways was morally unjustifiable - it usually was outright oppression, with one colonized group elevated above others to help the European administrators. This often resulted in reprisals when independence came, as happened especially in Zimbabwe; Mugabe’s “Gukurahundi” (”early spring rains that wash away the chaff in the fields”) was the mass murder of tribes he felt helped the Rhodesians. The newly independent people simply found the oppression was worse under their own (often unelected) leadership, and the promised reforms (schools, hospitals, sharing of wealth from natural resources) were just lies by corrupt governments.
