Don’t worry. Someone with a nice suit and a somber face will show up on TV and “take full responsibility” before this goes down the rabbit hole.
“So they violated the Fourth Amendment rights of a US citizen.”
No, the violated the rights of the entire Trump White House.
That’s what this means. The spying is an entry point not the end point.
A FISA warrant averages access to spying on about 2,500 people.
Anyone who touches the ‘target” can be swept up in electronic surveillance, oversights, etc.
That was the point. Not Carter Page but using him as the entry point.
Slow and steady....In the meantime, they’ve ruined a good man’s life.
Not only Carter Page’s rights. The rights of all the people he communicated with, and all the people they communicated with. Two Hops is what the rule is. So pretty much everyone in the Trump campaign. And then some.
“spying on about 2,500 people.”
Even the violation of one person’s rights is an outrage, calling for the FBI to be turned upside down and revamped. 2,500 is something more, to say the least.
The penalty is: when they get their Happy Meals next week, they have to buy their own fries.
