U.S. health officials said they diagnosed a second patient with the China coronavirus after a Chicago woman returned from Wuhan with the infection, and they are currently monitoring 63 other potential cases here.

China has 14 cities quarantined. Does anyone really believe only 800 are infected and 26 dead?
Don’t trust our people either.
Someone knows a nurse who claims there was a case here in December. Of course, it could just be twitter BS rumor..but it wouldn’t surprise me.
There was a biological lab in that province that was developing this virus and I think Ebola.

only 63 people with the sniffles this time of year? please. this will be almost impossible to sort out in the middle of flu season
It certainly should not. China's biological warfare experts are monitoring the rate and extent of the contamination and keeping thorough records, even if they are innocent bystanders. And, even if it was not a clinical release, they at this point know the exact time and place of occurrence.
(We likely do as well.)
Do the authorities know how long the contagion period is?
Yes, I agree. They may never tell anyone..but they know when safety was breached. I can’t think they would intentionally release it. The pictures and videos are disturbing. People just falling over and laying dead or almost dead in the street.

With a 14 day (minimum) incubation, this virus is already everywhere.
And it remains hearty on cold surfaces for a few days.
I don’t see how it can be stopped now that it’s out of the barn.
And it will continue to mutate, either to a less deadly cold or to a more deadly SARS.

Of course. But once it spreads beyond the initial vectors it gets a lot harder
