If — and it's a big if — the 49ers win Super Bowl LIV, would they accept an invitation to the White House?
Nick Bosa likely would. Bosa has been an enthusiastic supporter of President Trump in the past, calling him the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).
But what about other 49ers, say the cerebral Richard Sherman, for example?
Taking a stand on a potential White House invitation before one wins a championship is like counting unhatched chickens. Nonetheless, the San Francisco Chronicle's Scott Ostler posed the question to the Niners' star cornerback.
"I haven’t thought about it," Sherman replied, adding, "we’ve got a long way between now and then, but I doubt it."
After the Warriors won the NBA championship in 2017, Andre Iguodala answered the same hypothetical question with a "Hell nah." Stephen Curry later said he wouldn't go either, causing Trump to rescind an invitation even though no invitation had been issued.
The Warriors weren't invited after winning the title in 2018 either. In 2018, the Super Bowl champion Eagles received a White House invitation, but only a few players said they would attend, so they were uninvited. The Patriots, who won last year, did not visit the White House due to scheduling conflicts, according to the team spokesman.

Why do they ruin everything. I was a 9ers fan and now they want me to not watch them so they can virtue signal.

Someone should tell this Dick Sherman that the 49ers have to win the Super Bowl to get invited to the White House so he should not expect an invitation there.

Got to support the Chiefs and Andy Reid. I was really impressed with the team’s testimony for Christ when they won their division.
Who cares? That’s like ME saying I wouldn’t go to the White House.
