23 and Me = Monthly subscription.
Ancestry.com = 1 time fee.
No brainer.
The subscription model looks a like a great revenue stream to investors....until the subscribers figure out that they are paying and getting little.
Ask any newspaper.
I (and a couple of relatives) only ever paid a 1-time fee to 23nMe. Two of them DO pay a subscription to Ancestry, tho
You have it exactly backwards. 23&me charges for the DNA test, that's it. Ancestry charges for the DNA test and 19.99 a month (or more).
