I am not so sure the Bidens are a distraction ....Trump's request for an investigation by Ukraine into Biden activities is central to the perfectly correct defense that the president acted in our nation's interests. I feel Biden taking the Fifth would greatly harm the Rat's prosecution.

I doubt they care one whit. There are ZERO honorable democrats. Some might flip for expediency, but all of them are swamp creeatures.

The defense is playing to the public, hoping to win at the November ballot box. The impeachment case is just the current "stage" for conducting the polkitical battle. The DEMs chose this battleground.

I was rattled when one of the usual suspects (Harris Faulkner) said the July 25 phone call could be fairly read the way the DEMs were reading it., And that was within minutes of the call record being made public. To my mind, it takes bad faith to read the DEM view into that call record. There is no way a person can, in good faith, read that call as referring to an impeachable offense.

Can Roberts REALLY unilaterally force witnesses in his sole discretion? That’s what Stabenow (Rat-MI) claimed on Cavuto in the post-game coverage.

Not a lawyer, but that is BS. He is just the referee for the trial. He could render a legal opinion if legal questions about a witness subpoena came up.
