Xi Jinping must be the biggest idiot in China. He shut down 5% of his economy in a ~20,000 sq mile area the size of Maryland over this overhyped virus. He also erased the Chinese New Year holiday shopping season (the equivalent of the Thanksgiving to Christmas retail bacchanalia that begins on Black Friday), by telling people outside of the quarantine zone to stay home and avoid public places.
I may be wrong but I don’t think Xi is an idiot. He may well know something that the rest of the world has yet to learn about what is really happening.
