Bible in a Year:
The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.
The Friendship Bench Project is being launched in other places, including Zanzibar, London, and New York City. We were thrilled to bits with the results, said one London researcher. A New York counselor agreed. Before you know it, youre not on a bench, youre just inside a warm conversation with someone who cares.
The project evokes the warmth and wonder of talking with our Almighty God. Moses put up not a bench but a tent to commune with God, calling it the tent of meeting. There, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend (Exodus 33:11). Joshua, his assistant, wouldnt even leave the tent, perhaps because he so valued his time with God (v. 11).
Today we no longer need a tent of meeting. Jesus has brought the Father near. As He told His disciples, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you (John 15:15). Yes, our God awaits us. Hes our hearts wisest helper, our understanding Friend. Talk with Him now.
What worries consume your thoughts today? As you talk to God about these concerns, what good thoughts about Him can you focus on instead?
Dear God, thank You for encouraging our hearts with noble thoughts of You. When were sick with worry, point our minds back to You.
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
OK...now that I’m in, I can tell you that Penny, Sis, and I went hiking in TWO places today. One was rather flat and boring, but the other was a beautiful wooded hill over a winding river...really nice! :-)
Spring is one day closer. There was some melting today. Feel he warmth.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Did resting go well today? Ready to take on the new week?
I was actually able to get a couple hours extra sleep, and I have been sorely in need.
Incredible story of heroism and dedication to country, thanks Kathy!

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. No mud issues?
We were clear, sunny, and COLD! Never got above zero, but beautiful to look at from inside.
Well, the first trail had some mud, but the second one was perfect pine needles underfoot!
Penny is funny...when she’s decided she has had enough, she turns around and wants to go back to the car.
Except on loop trails. Then she keeps forging ahead.
She has an amazing sense of direction! :-)
Good evening, mountainlion...good that some of your ice is melting. Hope it continues and spring does come when it is supposed to.
We have no warmth right now to feel....it’s -4.2
Thanks, Pro...he was a hero to the end.
Are you another day better? Ready to go back to work?
Good evening, Biggirl...hope you enjoy today’s hero story.
