I thought Mitch was a serious "institution" and "procedure" guy. Allowing Senate Impeachment Trials to become House Impeachment Investigations Round 2, is a pretty big new precedent to set after 230 years.

Mitch can count the number of civil servants that hate Trump. He has sat there and watched its entirety. If Trump has 6 friends in Washington, I would be surprised. Mitch is trading off judges for allowing a coup. All this pretending to convince some 'weak Pubs' to support Trump is a ruse. Some are just more bold than others.

Mitch could call in the stragglers and threaten to pull every government dime from their state and to put them all together on crap committees. He doesn't care because he doesn't care what happens to Trump.
