For better or for worse, Mitch McConnell runs the Senate better than any Republican you can name.

“ I don’t think Bolton is so corrupt that he would make things up.”

He seems butt hurt over being fired. He also wants to sell his book. I’m hoping this is like throwing bre’r Rabbit in the briar patch. Any republican who votes to remove Trump will pay dearly. Very dearly.

You’re right. Romney, for one, is nothing but a Democrat MOLE.

It is a warning.

Trump either plays ball, of the GOP gets rid of him.

Of course, that has the possibility of destroying the GOP, but they would just join the dems and get all the pizza and andrenalchrome they want anyway.

No! This is all the senate. However, Biden will refuse the subpoena as will his son.

Trump will get re-elected. Many GOP Senators will not.
This will not motivate many GOP voters to crawl over glass
to vote for them. We will crawl over glass to vote for Trump.

It does seem the GOP is trying to throw the Senate to the Dems. China Mitch has been no better than Paul Ryan in support of POTUS.

“Screw Mitch”

Do you think Mitch called Romney and encouraged him?

Perfect questions. That may make him rethink testifying. Our side needs to fight dirty. Put it all out there. Do Trump’s attorneys get to question witnesses?

What has Trump done to re-mold the party in his image? Not a heck of a lot. He endorsed Romney for Senate, and he endorses RINOs when they are primaried by Trump-supporting challengers. He appoints never-Trumpers to key positions. He gave Bolton a top job. He gave Kelly a top jog. He is reaping what he sowed.

The longer this drags out the larger Trump’s margin of victory will be in November.

Trust Sessions. Trust Huber. The midterms are safe.

How did that work out for the GOP?

Then he needs to lean on his peeps better ......Pelosi was out saying how she was not telling her peeps how they had to vote on impeachment (implying free will) yet it was said that other democrats were threatening the peeps...Mitch might want to learn a thing or two on how it is done

Right. Just like he orchestrated the confirmation of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Merrick Garland. /sarcasm off/

It’s quite telling that doing nothing regarding Garland is a feather in the cap of the do-nothing GOP Senate.

Who gives a crap?

All the sane Senators who would vote for acquittal today want this done and dusted because merits of the case as well as the process are an embarrassment to jurisprudence.

The rest of the idiots (Which include 3 or 4 Repubs plus the 75% you pulled from "where ever") want a political circus which is understandable from analyzing their destructive point of view.

-- ... they are going to drag this out another month. --

A month if they are lucky. The WH will sue to quash subpoeans, as a matter of protecting the institution.

Actually, it might be good to have the courts weigh in anyway. Trial court can do whatever it wants, so will almost certainly rule against the WH. Then on to the appeal wehre decisions like this are made.

Even after that, the WHo could provoke a constitutional crisis by refusing to abide by a court order. Kick it up a notch.
