Satisfaction with race relations in the United States has jumped under President Trump, the latest indication that the Republican is making significant inroads with blacks and other minorities in advance of the 2020 presidential election.
New details from a Gallup survey on satisfaction said race relations and the “position” of minorities under Trump are far higher than they were under President Barack Obama, the nation’s first black president.
Race relations scored the highest satisfaction advance, 14 points, from 22% at the end of the Obama administration to 36% this month, said Gallup.
And, “The position of blacks and other racial minorities in the nation” jumped 9 points, from 37% in January 2017 to 46% now.

People voted for the Kenyan to prove they weren’t racist and he came through. It’s time for the nation to totally ignore race issues. The movie industry isn’t cooperating. Too much to gain from it.

Yeah, the Left isn’t cooperating.
If what I think is going to happen in November happens, we may see a slaking off of that tactic.
I think Blacks have done been woke. It’s not going to be 50/50, but even 85/15 is certainly better than it has been.
Racial division tactics aren’t working quite as easily as they did over the past decades.
I think Hispanics are getting it too. I see them proudly supporting Trump out in the open with glee. Love it.
They should have compared Jan 2020 to Jan 2012.
The historical comparison and the cross-tabs are fascinating.
1. Historical: 36% of Americans are satisfied with the state of race relations and 58% dissatisfied. Satisfaction was consistently in the 50-55% range until the last two years of Obama’s term (30% to 62% in Jan 2015), when it fell off a cliff. It then went down under Trump but now recovered “bigly”.
2. Crosstabs: believe it or not, under Trump, non-whites actually have a more positive view of race relations (39% satisfied, 56% dissatisfied) than whites (36% satisfied, 59% dissatisfied.
What we need to know:
I can’t find the cross tabs for the prior gallup polls anywhere. It’s somewhat interesting to know what whites think of race relations, but to test how well Trump might do with minority voters in 2020, it would be very helpful to know the cross tabs from 2015 or before.

Clearly, Trump has been the most effective of these.
All the rest were Anti-American, working against the majority of the citizens of the USA. Some represented corporate interests, some represented party interests, but none represented the interests of the CITIZENS.
None of the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama cabal even pretended to be Pro-American.
Race relations better? I still wouldn’t be a cop in St. Louis, Baltimore, Chicago, or Memphis for all the tea in China.
Do people still want tea from China or is bat broth all the rage now? :-)
One way to fix race relations was to simply have cops from the same race as the people “being policed”; works wonders.

Good idea to a certain extent, but there are areas of cities that just generally see cops as the enemy, no matter what. When cops get called to some neighborhoods, I think they should take their sweet time going there.
Sure, but if the cops taking their sweet time are the same people as the residents, no harm, no foul. England ruled a vast empire for centuries with this strategy.

Thanks; for decades certain ethnic groups wanted all the gubmint jobs in their neighborhoods, and for the most part they’ve gotten their wish. Their children fail to learn from teachers who look like them, their neighborhoods are war zones “patrolled” by cops who look like them, and the political graft is harvested by politicians who look like them.
