Sean Hannity warns Romney as poll shows pitfalls of impeachment witness drive
Fox News ^ | January 29, 2020 | Yael Halon

Sean Hannity issued a strong warning to Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, Wednesday following reports that he is likely to join Senate Democrats' calls to hear testimony from former National Security Adviser John Bolton in President Trump’s impeachment trial.

Speaking on "The Sean Hannity Show," the Fox News host was joined by two pollsters to discuss the "anger" Romney has for Trump and how that will play out in his upcoming bid to hold onto his Senate seat.

Hannity pointed to a recent poll conducted by the well-known pollster Matt Towery which indicated that 68 percent of Republican respondents in Utah support an acquittal of President Trump while 64 percent oppose additional witnesses. Only 26 percent want to convict the president.

The poll also shows that 60 percent of Romney's constituents will be less likely to vote for him in the upcoming election if he does in fact vote to hear from additional witnesses.

"Let me state upfront, I like Mitt Romney," Hannity began. "I've always liked him. I thought he was a nice guy...great family...just a different style than Trump. He tried to be nice and it didn't work and he didn't win...but I thought he was the better choice in 2012."

Let me state upfront, I like Mitt Romney,” Hannity began. “I’ve always liked him. I thought he was a nice guy...great family...just a different style than Trump. He tried to be nice and it didn’t work and he didn’t win...but I thought he was the better choice in 2012.”
...
This was yesterday, 28th...I heard it live...I yelled into the radio at Hannity...there is nothing to like about MrMagicUnderwear.

What is he gaining by doing this?
Why do all losing Presidential candidates now go off the proverbial deep end?

Romney may be a snake, but Hannity really does not help the cause as long as he thinks he’s expert on all things political. Why does he have guests on anyway?

If they had all this sure evidence, they wouldn’t need witnesses and more witnesses.

I suspect he wants to be selected as a VP for whoever gets the Democrat nomination as a buffer to the left wing extremism that will turn off most moderate Democrats.........

Mitt Romney (D-Kolob).

Keep going with the magic underwear, Mitt. You’re not going to rule the world. Nor any other planet.

I had to vote AGAINST Barack because I knew what he was back from 2008. And there was Mittens.....

(sigh)

He could care less about his Senate seat. He’s positioning himself to run for POTUS again in 2024.

When I first saw this I thought Hannity had warned Romney face-to-face. As it turns out, it’s just more Hannity bloviation.

Hannity is wrong. Romney is a spiteful mean snake who would put his petty grudge ahead of what is best for the country. I trust Pierre Delecto more than I trust Romney!

Seething jealousy will do that. During the primaries Trump hammered Romney as a choker. Pointed out that Willard came to him and begged him for money, which Donald gave him and then choked.
Trump hammered Willard for being embarrassed he was worth a couple hundred million and then Trump told the people at his rally that his Tiffany’s store at Trump Tower in Manhattan is far more valuable than Willards entire estate.
The rally crowd roared with laughter.

BTW, I think Hannity on the radio is losing it. He keeps repeating himself, over and over and over again. Usually not listenable.

They are going off the rails if they want to call Bolton. This thing should be dismissed on the evidence presented not to go on fishing.

But if they are going to keep fishing then they need to call the so-called whistle blower and grill him on a number of topics. 1) why was he hosting the implicated Ukrainians in the White House in January 2016? 2) What was discussed? 3) Was he contacted by FBI or other agencies to stick around after Jan 2017 and feed them information about the goings on in the WH? 4) What role did he play in the Russia Hoax (passing of info, colluding with others to create appearances etc) 5) Who gave him the Ukraine call information that made up his WB report? 6) Did he secretly meet with Schiff and staff to discuss the drafting of his WB report? 7) Did he make-upor exaggerate the nature of information he was told, or did he collude with Schiff or staff to embellish the narrative 8) Did he speak with IG Atkinson about changing the WB rules and backdating the documents?

So much more, and follow-ups to these questions. There is a reason they want to keep this WB guy hidden. He knows a lot of bad things that went down.

Others need to be called as well, including Atkinson.

I’m honestly not sure Hunter Biden is necessary. There are other ways to get this information about his appointment, concern for the appearances, his involvement in pressuring Sec of State Kerry and/or his father to intervene in the Burisma investigation, the involvement of Yovanovitch and George Kent and the use of Soros money to finance their own Ukrainian investigations unit and demands made on Ukraine as to whom they can and cannot investigate... so much! Rudy Giuliani claims to have documents, affidavits, sworn testimony from key Ukrainian sources... they too should be called.

At the end of the day however, the blame falls squarely onto Joe Biden. He’s the one who made the admission that he blackmailed Ukraine. That video clip is enough - the POTUS has every right and responsibility to ask Ukraine what was Joe Biden talking about? What’s the back story? And if you find anything report it to the Attorney General. How can the current POTUS conduct foreign policy if he isn’t allowed to inquire about the actions of the previous administration? And especially one so fraught with suspicious behavior that looks like corruption, payola, kickbacks, influence peddling and money laundering etc?

“Others need to be called as well, including Atkinson.”

Sure, call him to testify, call Hunter, Eric Ciaramella, Sean Misko, Adam Schiff and anyone else you’d like.

Call them to testify in the Senate Judiciary Committee. You can run the hearings right through the summer.

On Friday, booth this unconstitutional coup #ShamImpeachment to the curb.

Let’s go, Cocaine Mitch!

Good post...And not only does the WB know a lot of bad things that went down but probably many of the names that were behind them.
