Agreed. Unfortunately, a lot of the people that have commented on this thread aren’t thinking or reading and are reflexively bashing Collins.

I think you are 100% correct. Otherwise, why release this stuff? She’s doing it partly as an excuse to her “moderate” base for voting to end this charade. She’s probably also a little bit angry over the Left assuming they can just push her around.
The left never had a case.. but they did have a few GOP never Trumper’s and a few GOP folks who would, even though they knew it was a bunch of nonsense, hear them out to be polite and fair.
I put Romney in the prior, I put Collins in the latter... the stunts they have played and nonsense like this have pushed, I believe the latter, to say nope, not going to humor this nonsense any longer.
