Indeed the world already has 100+ cases outside China. All this would do is diminish numbers somewhat.
Im sure there are MANY more than 100. Remember 5 million people left Wuhan before quarantine. Incubation can be 14 days, maybe even more. Many folks with it are asymptomatic and infecting others, as they are seeing in Japan and Germany. We wont know the real numbers until next week.
But this sure doesnt help. Delta currently operates 42 weekly flights between the U.S. and China, including daily service connecting Beijing and Detroit and Seattle, and Shanghai and Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles and Seattle
42 x 250 seats = 10,500 passengers next week
More than that, from reports I’ve read today. 3 in Texas, 3 in Michigan, one in Connecticut, etc.
It’s growing exponentially.
