A version of HIV that spreads like flu would be really bad news for the human race.
If China let out a weaponized flu like that, it’s an act of war against the whole world.
It sounds more like the Chicomms might have plucked four small pieces out of an HIV virus and inserted them into a coronavirus, thus creating this Novel Coronavirus.
A flu that became persistant (like HIV) in a portion of the population would be just as bad.
Some portion of the population would always be a carrier of a virus with 2% mortality. And shed virus wherever they went.
