They want Westerners to provide everything for them at no cost; that was the main driver behind the opposition to Amazon. The politicians involved primarily represent constituents who don’t want jobs- they wanted the money that could be squeezed from Amazon to provide for the unemployable.
I couldn’t imagine Amazon was going to find 25,000 people who could work jobs that averaged six figures; many of those people left years ago looking for work elsewhere as either their jobs left NYC or foreigners were imported to take those jobs (white-collar Asians).
Is this what it was like in late stage Rome? Is this why the emperor’s felt the need to spend lavishly on bread and circus for the mob?
Proving, yet again, that NYC is nothing more nor less than a cultural and psychic wasteland.
These hooligans are encouraged and empowered by literal establishment in politics and media who are pushing the equality/inequality socialist crap.

Having worked in NYC in the 70’s and 80’s I can tell the New York City subway system is the worlds biggest underground toilet.
I ride the NYC subways quite frequently. They are remarkably clean given the fact that 5.5 million people ride the subways each weekday. That’s more people than the population of Los Angeles.

If De Blasio gets his way MS-3 will become part of the union. That is if they haven’t been unionized already. With the revolving door of Justice they’ve just instituted they’ve allowed anything to happen now.
