It’s the usual leftist rioting. Today’s given reason is the fares and police, but it’s not. It’s actually about Western Civilization, which they want to eliminate.
They change the tune, but it’s actually the same song, every time.
They want Westerners to provide everything for them at no cost; that was the main driver behind the opposition to Amazon. The politicians involved primarily represent constituents who don’t want jobs- they wanted the money that could be squeezed from Amazon to provide for the unemployable.
I couldn’t imagine Amazon was going to find 25,000 people who could work jobs that averaged six figures; many of those people left years ago looking for work elsewhere as either their jobs left NYC or foreigners were imported to take those jobs (white-collar Asians).
